Microgen PowerQuote

Microgen PowerQuote is a software product that enables retail electricity suppliers to price complex contracts for end-user customers or energy brokers. The preparation of electricity pricing quotations requires a significant amount of published and customer-specific information (for example, 3rd party costs incurred by the supplier, customer consumption data, meter details, site details). PowerQuote links this data to standard or individual customer contract definitions ensuring quotations and contracts that the software produces are consistent and accurate. Microgen PowerQuote is fast and highly scalable enabling it to be used by mainstream retail electricity suppliers.

Microgen PowerQuote is more that an electricity pricing system. It provides an 'out of the box' solution to support retail electricity suppliers from the creation of bids to the billing of customers. As such it has modules, which can be purchased individually or as a whole solution, that support:

Pricing
The PowerQuote Pricing module is the core of the Microgen PowerQuote system. It provides comprehensive support for the generation of fixed price quotations and contracts for both the Interval (HH) and Non-Interval (NHH) market sectors

Registration Module
The PowerQuote Registration module automates the generation and receipt of high volume UK electricity Data Transfer Network messages, leaving electricity suppliers to concentrate on exception handling. It supports not just 'Registration' and 'De-registration', but also the major meter life-cycle events for both HH and NHH meters

Bill Line Generation Module
The PowerQuote Bill Line Generation module (BLG) pre-calculates individual bill lines and sends these to the electricity supplier’s billing system for fulfilment. A key benefit of this approach is that Microgen PowerQuote can be used both to price and offer quotes, and then for creation of billing data, so that an electricity supplier’s pricing structures are not limited by the functionality of its billing system.
